Most downtown residents oppose Flagler Shore

I attended the West Palm Beach City Council meeting on Monday evening to listen to the discussion on the Flagler Shore project. After listening for over an hour it was quite evident that the downtown residents were against it. The majority are in their 60s, not the average age the mayor quoted at the meeting, 39. The mayor was talking about all of West Palm Beach, not just downtown.

We the residents of downtown don’t want our beautiful waterfront area filled with food trucks, loud music and other Coney Island-type of attractions.
